Ross County, in an attempt to combat blighted housing, is considering starting a land bank.
Land banking is fairly popular in Ohio. We’ve talked about it a few times here, here, and here, among other times. Oh, and here when the subject is the Cuyahoga County Land Bank. Jim Rokakis of Western Reserve Land Conservancy’s Thriving Communities Institute, and who was a driving force behind the state’s 2009 county land bank statute, is visiting Ross County soon to help them in this process.
