New plan for East Side lakefront trail loop and neighborhood links is ready for city review

A pragmatic, no-frills vision for new trails and neighborhood connections to the East Side lakefront, with an estimated cost of $24.5 million, is ready for potential approval by the city and the search for money to make it a reality.

Approval would position the city to seek funding from a variety of government grant programs, said Bobbi Reichtell, director of Campus District Inc., one of three community development organizations that sponsored the plan, includingSt. Clair Superior Development and the Warehouse District.
