Avondale neighborhood getting free wi-fi

Residents of a section of the Cincinnati Avondale neighborhood soon will have free wireless internet service.

OCDCA members the Community Builders Inc. and Avondale Community Development Corporation are partnering with Powernet and the US Department of Housing and Urban Development to offer this.

About 250 families and businesses will be able to use the wi-fi.

“Avondale Community Wi-Fi is one more way that we can support the residents of this transforming neighborhood,” said Ozie Davis III, executive director of the Avondale Community Development Corporation. “Through strategic partnerships, we’re now able to make Avondale a more livable community.”
