NECIC opens Blust Avenue community teaching garden

“In a shining example of turning blighted properties into a community treasure, the North End Community Improvement Collaborative (NECIC) [in Mansfield] officially opened their Blust Avenue community teaching garden” last month.

NECIC has been working for years to acquire vacant lots and parcels in that area for land reuse, particularly urban agriculture. This cross-collaborative project has been much anticipated, and we look forward to hearing more about it in the coming months and years!
