Hundreds and hundreds of organizations across the state have continued to advocate to their Ohio House and Senate members to request that the Conference Committee reject budget language that cuts the Ohio Housing Trust Fund in half. At the same time as we advocate against the cut, we all need to prepare to ask Governor Kasich to line-item veto the language should that become necessary. We want as many organizations as possible to sign on to one letter asking the Governor to veto this destructive measure. The Governor has been a consistent supporter of the Ohio Housing Trust Fund in the past, but our collective letter will provide him with the support he needs to veto the amendment if that becomes necessary.
Please click on this link and sign on to the Veto Request today – http://goo.gl/forms/pZtn66jZ3C. While we are seeking organizational rather than individual support, we need your contact information, so please complete the short online form. All organizations will be listed at the end of the letter we give to the Governor. We appreciate you forwarding this request on to your network. Deadline for signatures is end of the day Thursday, June 25.
Thank you for your advocacy! If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Nate Coffman at firstname.lastname@example.org or 614-461-6392 x 207.
